While other mushrooms products are mycelium (a lab-grown fungus that's only part of a mushroom), Four Leaf Rover Immunity contains the fruiting body and the mycelium.

Mycelium is grown on grains like oats, sorghum or rice, not on wood where mushrooms would grow in nature. Mycelium products contain significantly lower levels of valuable beta-glucan, the active medicinal compound in mushrooms. Your dog deserves Four Leaf Rover's REAL mushrooms ... grown the way nature intended and complete with all their health-boosting properties.

  • Organic
  • Not Mycelium

Turkey Tail

Turkey Tail

Turkey tail mushroom (Trametes versicolor) is loaded with health-boosting antioxidants including quercetin. Research also shows turkey tail mushrooms given daily significantly slowed the growth of cancer cells and improved survival times in dogs with hemangiosarcoma. It can also add to the success of traditional cancer treatments. It's also rich in prebiotics and can increase the populations of beneficial bacteria including Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus while reducing potentially harmful bacteria such as Clostridium and Staphylococcus.

Chaga is a conk that grows on birch trees. While most chaga is wild harvested, our chaga is sustainably grown on birch trees in a greenhouse. Chaga is considered the "King" of medicinal mushrooms because of its large antioxidant content (including SOD). Chaga is anti-inflammatory, can improve heart health, helps digestion, helps the body adapt to stress, boosts the immune system and contains melanin, which can fight against cancer and radiation.

Cordyceps is well researched. It has anti-tumor effects and is rich in anti-aging antioxidants. Cordyceps also boosts exercise performance, fights inflammation, fights diabetes and supports a healthy heart.

Phellinus is a potent immune modulator and is commonly used in Chinese medicine. Studies show its promise in fighting cancer, diabetes and skin disease.

Frequently Asked Questions

Mushrooms contain a fruiting body (the part of the mushroom you'd recognize) and mycelium, the part that grows underground or inside the plant. Think of the mycelium as the roots of the mushroom. Nearly all mushroom products are mycelium, not the actual mushroom. They're grown in a lab on sterilized grains (such as rice, sorghum or oats) and ground into a powder. If you're buying a mycelium product, you're not getting the beta-glucan rich content of the fruiting body. Beta-gulcans are the active compounds in mushrooms. Fruiting bodies are full spectrum and also offer more vitamins and minerals. You're not getting a real mushroom and your dog is not getting all of the health benefits.

Our mushrooms are grown on wood, just as they would in nature. This guarantees the medicinal compounds will be in the mushrooms. They're grown in greenhouses with a constant flow of fresh air and water, along with natural sunlight. After harvesting, every mushroom is tested for chemicals or contamination.

Fruiting bodies require hot water extraction to break down the chitin in the cell walls. Dogs and humans lack the enzyme to do this, so extraction is necessary to get all the nutrients from the fruiting body. Extraction pulls out the beta-glucans. The extraction is then purified and dried into a powder with all the beneficial mushroom parts intact.

While the Immunity 7 mushroom blend contains Turkey Tail mushroom, you can add Turkey Tail once or twice daily for additional immune benefits.

If your dog doesn't have any health challenges, once a day should be enough. But if your dog is fighting cancer or other immune diseases, you can give mushrooms twice daily.
