The first farm to table dog treats, Treats From The Earth are single protein treats that are responsibly and humanely raised.

    • Single Ingredient Treat - Just liver, heart, kidney & lung that's sustainably raised on small US midwest farms. With no fillers or preservatives of any kind, this treat is gently dried into a chewy jerky treat using a low amount of heat.
    • Super Premium Quality - While most animals are fed genetically modified grains made with human food waste, our animals are raised on pastures. Our cows are 100% grass-fed and grass-finished. Our pork and chicken are also raised on pasture with access to natural foods like insects, roots and grasses. Pastured meat is higher in omega-3 fat, has a lower omega 6:3 ratio and is richer in antioxidants like vitamin E.
    • Responsibly Raised -  Animals that are raised in their natural habitat are healthier and happier. Regenerative farming includes holistic practices like no-tilling the land, rotational livestock grazing and avoidance of chemicals for healthier soils, reduced waste, lower CO2 emissions and a sustainable future.
    • A Treat You Can Trust - These treats are dried and packaged by small, local farmers in the US midwest and are truly farm to table. We bring the farmers market to you.

    Why is pasture-raised better?

There are a lot of confusing terms when it comes to how meat is raised and it can be hard to keep them straight. It's easy to be fooled by "greenwashing." Our beef is 100% grass-fed and grass-finished and our chicken and pork is raised on pasture. Pastured meat is much higher in omega-3 fats, vitamin D and antioxidants - and it comes from healthier, happier animals that live in their natural habitat.

    Why is regenerative farming important?

Modern farming practices are "monoculture." That means they may grow only one crop  on hundreds of acres. The problem with monoculture is it makes the soil moisture unstable. Enormous amounts of water are to irrigate crops, which results in drainage of water into rivers and reservoirs. Monoculture also requires large amounts of chemical pesticides, herbicides and petroleum-based fertilizers, which also end up in waterways. This type of industrial farming depletes and pollutes natural resources and aquatic life – and it's a large contributor to climate change.

Regenerative farming works in harmony with nature, not against it. Regenerative farms integrate livestock, crops and pastures to produce nutrient-dense food and healthier soil. Our farmers protect and promote living soils by avoiding synthetic herbicides, pesticides, and nitrogen fertilizers.

    Are the treats organic?

Some of our farmers raise their animals as organic, but not all of them. However, all of our meat is pasture-raised on fields that do not use chemical fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides.

Can these be given as a food topper?

Of course! Organ meats are nutrient-dense and are a great topper for any commercial or home prepared dog food.

How should I store the treats?

These treats should be shelf stable for up to a year. Simply seal the pouch and store the treats in a cool cupboard.

    Are these treats freeze-dried?

Treats From the Earth are dried using a small amount of heat. While freeze-drying retains more nutrients, it creates a treat that's crumbly. Treats From The Earth are more like jerky and are less likely to leave a lot of powder in the bottom of the bag. You can use any leftover crumbs as a food topper.

Should I limit the amount of treats I give my dog?

Healthy, natural treats can be a regular part of your dog's diet, but should make up no more than 10% of your dog’s diet to avoid an unbalanced diet.
