Frequently Asked Questions
Four Leaf Rover Bovine Colostrum is a powdered form of bovine first milk. It comes from grass-fed, pasture-raised, antibiotic-free & rBGH growth hormone-free cows, raised in a small organic dairy co-operative.
Colostrum is collected after the first 12 hours of birth and within a 36-hour time frame when the Colostrum is at its peak. Calves alone receive it during the first 12 hours, then it’s shared for collecting. Calves are not separated from their mothers during this process because the quality and quantity of the milk increase when a cow is allowed to raise her calf.
Research has identified an ingredient called proline-rich polypeptide (PRP) as one of the main components of Colostrum responsible for supporting seasonal allergies.
Colostrum works by regulating the thymus gland (T and B cells), providing immunoglobulins (IgG, IgA, etc) and assisting with cellular tissue repair. To learn more, go to https://www.dogsnaturallymagazine.com/colostrum-for-dog-allergies/
Since Colostrum comes from milk, it does contain lactose. If your dog has dairy sensitivities, check with your vet before giving colostrum.
You can add Colostrum directly to your dog’s food but it’s best given at least 20 minutes before meals for better absorption. You can mix it with a small amount of spring water, organic kefir or plain yogurt. Since it’s a part of “Mother’s Milk”, most dogs are happy to eat it and enjoy the flavor.

What Our Customers Are Saying
My German Shepard had severe allergies and was on Apoquel for 2-weeks before I started giving him Four Leaf Rover bovine colostrum. I saw results in 2-3 days. My pupper does not show a single sign of allergy symptoms, not one. Even on Apoquel he was still licking his paws over 2-3 times a day. Four Leaf Rover bovine colostrum works better than prescription allergy medication.
